Newborn No Scratch Mitts
Yarn: any fingering weight
Needles: US 2 DPN
Guage: Not necessary
CO Cast On
K Knit
P Pearl
KFB Knit Front and Back
N1-N4 Needle 1-4
st Stitch
ssk slip,slip,Knit
K2tog Knit 2 stitches together knitwise
CO 8st on each of 4 dpn's (32st)
*K2 P2 (repeat from * for 10 rounds)
Knit one round
*K7 KFB (repeat from * for 1 round) (36st)
Knit 10 rounds
Decrease Round:
N1: K to last 2st, K2tog
N2: ssk, K to end
N3: K to last 2st, K2tog
N4; ssk, K to end
Repeat decrease round until 4 stitches remain on each needle. Transfer these stitches to 2 needles as follows:
K4 across N1 using N4 (8st)
Transfer 4st from N2 to N3 (8st)
Do 3 needle Bind off, weave in ends.
